A very simple thing that can be a source of aggravation is getting the wire from a picture over the hook on the wall. You have probably found that your hand and arm are too fat to fit behind the picture to guide the wire over the hook. The fix is easy. Get a drinking straw. Place the end of the straw over the tip of the picture hook that points out into the room. Now, with this extension in place, guide the wire over the straw and it will seat neatly onto the hook.
