Tip of The Week

This week’s tip comes from our “Take the Heat
out of Cleaning the Shower” file.
|
| |
|
We get lots of calls about getting soap scum and
hard water marks off tiled shower floors and walls. An old friend and frequent caller told us
that an “old friend” from the kitchen worked very well in cleaning the
bathroom.

|
When he has a tough shower to clean he uses oven
cleaner. No heat required. Just spray it on the walls, let it stand for
a few minutes and wipe it away. One word
of caution; some of these products give off noxious fumes and should only be
used where there is excellent ventilation and where a chemical respirator is
used by the person doing the work. There
are environmentally friendly versions of oven cleaner that will work equally
well and these would be the recommended product for the shower.
