Tip of The Week

This week’s
tip comes from our “Get a corner on finishing drywall” file.
|
| |
|
If you like
home improvement projects, no doubt, you have done your share of finishing
drywall. If you haven’t you will. One of the challenges Do it Yourselfers
report is finishing inside corners on new drywall projects.
|
|
|
|
Some Pro’s will use an inside corner trowel and
finish both sides of the corner at the same time. However, there is an easier way for the
DIY’er to get professional results. Instead
of trying to finish both sides of the corner at once, tackle one side at a
time. Apply tape and joint compound to
one side of the corner and allow it to dry.
Then go to the next side and finish it.
Alternate sides until all needed coats have been applied and sanded.

| |
|
The same process will make the joints between
the ceiling and walls look professional as well.
